Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a Planner Major Works to coordinate planning for major shutdowns across fixed plant assets in the Pilbara. Reporting to the Superintendent Major Works, you will lead the planning and readiness of complex maintenance campaigns, ensuring scope is defined, risks managed and resources secured.

Working on a FIFO 5/2/4/3 roster, you will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and contractors to improve asset reliability and shutdown performance.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating major maintenance, shutdowns or asset replacement in heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to develop maintenance plans, work packs and shutdown readiness activities for complex scopes.
• Strong understanding of work management, shutdown planning, forecasting and scheduling principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning for major shutdowns and maintenance campaigns on fixed plant assets (crushers, feeders, balance machines).
• Develop executable maintenance plans with labour, materials, tooling and contractor resources.
• Maintain integrated shutdown schedules with critical path, risks and interdependencies.
