Job summary

Pathfinders is seeking a Part Time SHS Support Worker based in Armidale, NSW to assist individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and support those at risk of homelessness to maintain safe and stable accommodation. The role requires knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal communities and advocacy for Aboriginal young people and families.

This position is Level 4 and Pay Point 1 under the SCHADS Award, with benefits including EAP, salary packaging, health wellbeing hub access, and Fitness

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW.
• Ability to advocate for Aboriginal young people and their families with culturally appropriate support.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and support those at risk to maintain long-term safe and stable accommodation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal agencies to support families and cultural connections.
