Job summary

Abruzzo Ceramics Pty Ltd is seeking a friendly Showroom Sales Consultant for our Wetherill Park showroom. The role blends customer service with creating engaging social media content to showcase our tiles and inspire buyers.

You will work two days per week, including Saturdays, with the second day agreed with you. Social media experience and a collaborative team environment are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Two days per week including Saturdays.
• Experience in showroom/retail/sales, preferably in building materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience creating and publishing social media content.
• Canva experience and ability to produce photos and short videos.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers, creating a warm first impression.
• Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations.
• Demonstrate ceramic products, highlighting features and applications.
• Assist customers through the sales process from inquiry to checkout.
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain showroom displays to high standards.
• Address customer queries professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team and stay updated on new products and trends.

Abruzzo Ceramics is looking for a friendly, creative and customer-focused Showroom Sales Consultant to join our Wetherill Park team.

This role combines helping customers choose beautiful tiles with creating engaging social media content that showcases our products and inspires our audience.

You’ll worktwo days per week, including Saturdays, with the second day agreed with the successful applicant.Saturday availability and practical social media experience are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers to the showroom, creating a warm and professional first impression
• Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations based on customer requirements and preferences
• Demonstrate ceramic products effectively, highlighting key features, benefits and applications
• Assist customers through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to finalising transactions
• Process sales transactions accurately, utilising point-of-sale systems and maintaining proper documentation
• Maintain showroom displays and product presentation to the highest standards
• Address customer queries and concerns professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall financial performance of the showroom
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth showroom operations
• Keep informed about new products, promotions and industry trends
• Creating and regularly updating content for our social media channels, including Instagram and Facebook.
• Taking appealing photos and short videos of tile ranges, showroom displays and new arrivals.
• Producing posts, stories and reels that share product information and design inspiration.
• Writing clear, engaging captions that reflect our business.
• Planning and scheduling content with the team to maintain a consistent online presence.

What we’re looking for

• Reliable availability fortwo days per week, including every Saturday.
• Proven experience in a showroom, retail or sales consultant role, preferably within the building materials, ceramics, or home improvement industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Product knowledge or willingness to quickly learn about ceramic products and their applications
• Professional appearance and demeanour befitting a customer-facing role
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
• Hands-on experience creating and publishing social media contentfor a business, brand or organisation.
• Confidence producing photos, short videos, stories and reels.
• Experience using Canva or similar editing and content creation tools, would be ideal.
• Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to service delivery
• Enthusiasm, reliability and a positive attitude towards work
• Desirable: Experience with design consultation or knowledge of interior design trends
