Job summary

DITH Australia in Sydney is seeking a Shipping & Transport Coordinator to manage shipment bookings, coordinate customer delivery requirements and ensure goods reach final destinations in line with contracts. You will handle invoicing, shipping documentation, and liaise with shippers, freight providers and internal stakeholders to keep the supply chain moving smoothly.

A tertiary qualification in logistics or related field, knowledge of Incoterms, and experience with containerised freight are

• Sound knowledge of Incoterms and shipping documentation.
• Experience coordinating shipping, breakbulk, containerised freight and/or transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings for container and breakbulk shipments.
• Manage freight and local transport movements from origin to final delivery.
• Prepare customer invoices and complete local transport delivery documentation.
• Maintain delivery records and controlled documentation.
• Support payment of shipping invoices.

Role

This role will be responsible for coordinating shipment bookings, managing customer delivery requirements, preparing customer invoices, transport documentation, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring goods are delivered to the agreed final destination in accordance with contractual obligations.

Shipping & Transport Coordination

• Coordinate bookings for container and breakbulk shipments
• Manage and track freight and local transport movements from origin, through shipment and on-water transit, through to local final delivery, ensuring timely coordination and visibility throughout the supply chain.
• Coordinate with shippers, shipping lines, freight providers and transport operators to ensure smooth cargo movements.

Invoicing & Documentation

• Prepare customer invoices and issuing local transport delivery documentation in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate delivery records and controlled documentation
• Coordinate shipping documentation and ensure information is accurate, complete and available when required.
• Support in payment of shipping invoices

About You

• A minimum tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
• Sound knowledge of Incoterms, shipping and transport documentation
• Experience coordinating shipping, breakbulk, containerised freight and/or transport operations.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
