Job summary

Henty Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead underground mining crews and ensure safe, efficient daily activities. Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this hands-on role coordinates shift operations and upholds safety standards while striving to meet production targets.

You will plan and allocate personnel and equipment, conduct pre-start meetings and handovers, and foster a positive team culture with strong communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in an underground mining supervisory role.
• S1, S2 and S3 Supervisor competencies.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all underground mining activities.
• Supervise and coordinate daily shift operations to safely achieve production targets.
• Plan, schedule and allocate personnel and equipment to maximise operational efficiency.
• Conduct effective pre-start meetings and shift handovers.
• Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements and company procedures.
• Lead risk assessments, JSAs and workplace inspections.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and development.
• Manage shift staffing requirements, including leave and resource planning.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration across operational departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, productivity and team performance.

Henty Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead underground mining crews and ensure the safe, efficient and productive execution of daily mining activities.

Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating shift operations, maintaining high safety standards, achieving production targets and developing a positive team culture.

• Manage shift staffing requirements, including leave and resource planning
• Foster strong communication and collaboration across operational departments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, productivity and team performance

About you

• S1, S2 and S3 Supervisor competencies
• Front Line Management Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum two years' experience in an underground mining supervisory role
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Sound understanding of underground mining practices and statutory requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence
• ICAM Investigation and First Aid qualifications are an advantage
