Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen is seeking a Shift Leader for our GYG team. You will lead, coach and motivate crew to deliver excellent guest experiences while upholding food safety and quality standards. Availability for mornings, nights and weekends is required to keep the shift running smoothly.

This role offers flexible rosters, competitive pay, and ongoing training with clear pathways into supervisory progression as part of a dynamic hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising or leading a team in a fast-paced hospitality, café, restaurant or retail environment.
• High energy, a positive, resilient attitude and the ability to stay calm and upbeat when things get busy.
• People skills and clear communication to help others succeed.
• A genuine passion for great food, teamwork and fast-paced fun.
• Willingness to work mornings, nights and weekends and adapt to rosters.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shift: keep the crew motivated, organised and having fun during busy periods.
• Coach & Support: help crew members build skills and confidence.
• Drive Results: help the team reach KPIs for speed, service and sales targets.
• Keep Standards High: uphold food safety, cleanliness, product quality and GYG standards.
