Job summary

Genus Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to oversee site-based safety operations across multiple Rio Tinto projects in Western Australia. You will report to the Project Manager and lead audits, inspections and incident investigations, applying ICAM methodologies to drive safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ WHS/OHS experience in construction, infrastructure, or resources sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of mining safety systems, standards and site requirements.
• Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current Construction Safety Induction.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• National Police Clearance.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• ICAM investigation training and application.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits and inspections on site safety operations.
• Partner with operational management to implement SHEQ strategy and policies.
• Drive delivery of SHEQ improvement programs & communications.
• Lead incident investigations using ICAM methodologies.
• Monitor and report on project SHEQ performance.
