Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV or diploma in related fields.
• Proven at least 5 years’ experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
• Proficiency in working with various metals and understanding their properties.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling sheet metal ducts.
• Repairing damaged sheet metal components by studying blueprints and specs.
• Selecting metal stock and verifying sizes and dimensions against specifications.
• Marking metal stock with reference points and lines using templates and gauges.
• Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding/bending machines.
• Fitting and assembling components into final products through welding, riveting, soldering, brazing.
• Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding, and cleaning assembled items.
