Job summary

Airway Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Sheetmetal Trade Worker to install, fabricate, and repair ductwork for HVAC systems across NSW. You will interpret plans, measure to precise tolerances and fabricate sections using sheetmetal. On-site assembly, safety compliance, and quality workmanship are essential.

Experience with stainless steel, galvanised iron, aluminium, and mild steel, plus reading drawings and WHS awareness, is required. A White Card and industry tickets are preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified sheetmetal tradesperson with fabrication and HVAC component experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to identify material and dimensions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and WHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications to determine materials and equipment.
• Measure, mark and prepare sheet metal sections to exact dimensions.
• Cut, form and fabricate ductwork and HVAC fittings for projects.
• Operate rollers, folding machines, presses, drills and grinders.
• Install HVAC units and duct systems on-site according to standards.
• Perform welding, soldering, riveting and sealing for airtight joints.
• Inspect and test fabricated ductwork, carry out adjustments as needed.
• Maintain tidy worksites and uphold safety practices.
