ISG Electrical Pty Ltd in Taylors Beach, NSW is seeking a Sheetmetal Apprentice to join our team. This full-time apprenticeship provides hands-on training in sheetmetal fabrication using CNC machinery and TIG/MIG welding.

You will learn under mentoring engineers, assist with fabrication, cutting, bending and assembly, and complete off-the-job training while contributing to safe, productive operations in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for sheetmetal work.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

ISG Electrical Pty Ltd is seeking a Sheetmetal Apprentice to join our dynamic team at our Taylors Beach, NSW facility. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide you with comprehensive hands‑on training in all aspects of sheetmetal work fabrication utilizing CNC machinery and TIG and MIG welding techniques.

As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced mentors, developing the technical skills and knowledge required to become a competent sheetmetal tradesperson. This role is fundamental to supporting our operations and building the next generation of skilled tradespeople within our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication, cutting, bending and assembly of sheetmetal components according to specifications and technical drawings
• Learn and develop proficiency in the use of sheetmetal tools, machinery and equipment under supervision
• Support experienced sheetmetal workers on various projects, gaining practical experience across different applications and techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Attend and complete all required apprenticeship training modules and off‑the‑job training as part of the apprenticeship programme
• Contribute to quality control processes by identifying and reporting any defects or issues with completed work
• Work collaboratively with team members and respond positively to feedback and instruction
