Job summary

Verve Recruitment is partnering with a Blacktown-based stainless steel fabrication business to hire a Junior Sheet Metal Apprentice. This role offers hands-on training with stainless steel fabrication and full TAFE apprenticeship support.

You will learn fabrication techniques, how to read drawings, operate workshop machinery, measure, fold, weld and laser cut stainless steel, and follow safety guidelines while contributing to a tidy, efficient workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 certificate with above-average achievement of Mathematics.
• Willingness to learn and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must have learner's permit and proof of currently learning to drive.

Responsibilities

• Learn fabrication techniques for stainless steel products such as kitchen benches, range hoods, and custom items.
• Read and interpret drawings and plans.
• Operate and maintain workshop machinery.
• Measure, fold, weld and laser cut stainless steel.
• Learn workplace health and safety guidelines.
• General workshop duties, including keeping the work area clean and organised.
