Job summary

ACT Stainless Steel is seeking a 1st year Apprentice Sheetmetal Worker (Stainless Steel) to learn a specialised skill set in welding and sheet metal fabrication. Based in Fyshwick with work across Canberra and parts of NSW, the role offers full training and career development.

Applicants should be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents with the right to work in Australia and demonstrate interest in sheet metal work.

Qualifications

1st year Apprentice Sheetmetal Worker (Stainless Steel)

ACT Stainless steel is a well-established local company based in Fyshwick, but work all over Canberra and parts of NSW. Our business is continuing to grow and we are looking to add 1 new Apprentice.

This is a great opportunity for a hardworking individual who has shown an interest in welding or sheet metal work at school, in their current role, in their spare time or if you're just looking to start a career.

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a Drivers Licence


• Have a White Card and Asbestos Awareness Certificate (preferred but not essential)


• Be self-motivated with strong work ethics


• Be comfortable with basic skills such as reading a tape measure, cutting tube and general labouring


• Have a positive attitude and be a team player


• Be punctual and reliable
