Job summary

Tesh Engineering & Fabrication in Pendle Hill NSW invites applicants for a full-time Metal Fabrication & Engineering Apprentice. You will learn hands-on skills in a supportive team, mentored by experienced tradespeople to progress toward a nationally recognised trade qualification.

This apprenticeship focuses on fabrication and engineering projects across the shop floor, with Safe Work practices, practical welding, and measurements that build a long-term career in the industry.

Qualifications

• Has genuine interest in engineering and metal fabrication.
• Is reliable, punctual and eager to learn.
• Has good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
• Can work well independently and in a team.
• Has strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Has a current driver’s licence (preferred but not essential).
• Has completed Year 10 or above (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble metal components.
• Perform MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely.
• Use guillotines, press brakes, drills and grinders.
• Perform quality checks to ensure work meets standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
