Job summary

Sigma Aerospace Workforce in Melbourne is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) specializing in Structures and Sheet Metal for opportunities at Essendon Fields. Openings span T1–T4 and include permanent and contract roles. You will perform structural repairs, fabrication and maintenance on general aviation and business aircraft while mentoring others.

Applicants should hold Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures); CASA Part 66 progress is a plus. Must have Australian working rights.

Qualifications

Aviation structures or sheet metal experience is highly regarded.
Candidates at all experience levels, from T1 through to T4, are encouraged to apply.
Experience in business or general aviation environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Repair, modify, fabricate and install aircraft structural and sheet metal components.
Carry out structural maintenance per SRMs, engineering drawings and approved maintenance data.
Perform riveting, fastening, drilling and countersinking operations.
Conduct corrosion inspections, repairs and treatments.
Apply protective coatings and complete associated finishing work.
Interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Complete accurate aircraft maintenance records and documentation.
Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
