Job summary

Airnorth is seeking a motivated Structures (Sheet Metal) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Darwin. This role ensures structural maintenance data and procedures are followed and supports all maintenance activities.

You will inspect, repair and fabricate sheet metal components, interpret drawings and regulations, and maintain accurate records. A CASA Part 145 environment and ASIC eligibility are advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent.
• Experience in aircraft sheet metal and structural repairs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and maintenance data.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain ASIC and Airside Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft structural inspections, repairs and modifications.
• Manufacture and fabricate components from sheet metal.
• Repair skins, panels, frames, ribs, floors and control surfaces.
• Conduct corrosion inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Install modification kits and engineering orders.
• Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
• Maintain tooling and work areas in a safe condition.
• Support general aircraft maintenance activities as directed.
