Job summary

Ventia is seeking a permanent, full-time team member to support Defence personnel at Puckapunyal Defence Base in VIC. The role combines customer service with basic tailoring tasks, including hemming, alterations and medal mounting, while ensuring accurate stores and inventory records.

You will measure and fit garments, support with kit issues, and help maintain warehouse documentation. Australian citizenship is required and the schedule is 7:30–16:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate sewing skills.
• Experience measuring and fitting garments.
• Previous experience in retail or clothing store operations.
• Proven ability to schedule workloads and meet production deadlines.
• Confidence using the basic Microsoft Office suite for record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Basic sewing tasks of hemming, ironing, alterations, and medal mounting as per the Defence specifications.
• Measure and fit customers for clothing items.
• General clothing stores duties including ensuring clothing store inventory records are accurate.
• Receive, check, and acquit stores under supervision.
• Assist with kit issues for customers.
• Prepare or process stores documentation and maintain warehouse records.
