Job summary

Ventia is seeking a permanent, full-time (open to part-time) tailoring and customer service role based at the Puckapunyal Defence Base in Seymour, VIC. You will deliver high-quality customer service and basic tailoring support to Defence personnel in a rewarding environment.

Key details include a rate of $28.86 per hour plus super, a 7:30–16:00, Monday–Friday schedule, and career development within Ventia. Australian citizenship is required; prior sewing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate sewing skills.
• Experience measuring and fitting garments.
• Previous experience in retail or clothing store operations.
• Strong customer-service focus in all interactions.
• Ability to schedule workloads and meet deadlines.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office for record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Basic sewing tasks of hemming, ironing, alterations, and medal mounting as per Defence specifications.
• Measure and fit customers for clothing items.
• General clothing stores duties including inventory accuracy.
• Receive, check, and acquit stores under supervision.
• Assist with kit issues for customers.
• Prepare or process stores documentation and maintain warehouse records.

The Opportunity

This is a permanent, full-time role, although open to part time workers and will be based at the Puckapunyal Defence Base (Seymour, VIC region).
