Job summary

SEWB Worker – GGQ Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Geelong VIC is a full-time, ongoing role led by a consortium including Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-Operative. The role focuses on culturally appropriate SEWB care for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members with mild to moderate mental health challenges, providing case management and support.

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Qualification (or working toward) in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related area.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in delivery of SEWB services.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally appropriate SEWB care to Community Members affected by mental health challenges or substance use.
• Deliver case management and direct support for complex needs.
• Engage in psychoeducation and raise awareness for wellbeing.
• Collaborate with GGQ Locals staff and external agencies for referral and care coordination.
