Job summary

Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is seeking a SEWB Support Worker to provide cultural and social emotional support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, focusing on youth in out-of-home care. The role involves caseload management, group facilitation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team at the Coomera clinic.

Applicants must be Indigenous (identified position) and hold a Blue Card; a National police check is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivery and care coordination for mental health, alcohol and other drugs, or related social supports.
  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Commitment to positive impact and service with heart and purpose.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal culture and ability to work with Indigenous peoples.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cultural and social emotional support to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse.
  • Co-manage a caseload with the SEWB Care Coordinator.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate groups.
  • Support client goals to build resilience and capacity.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team providing holistic, client-centered care.
  • Contribute to case reviews.
