Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking a Hospital Assistant Grade 2 to support cleaning and catering services at Garrawarra Centre, Waterfall, NSW. 38 hours per week with options for part-time or full-time engagement.

The role focuses on resident-centered service delivery, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing and presenting meals to residents in a timely and respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Cleaning and Catering services.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently, including a flexible approach to work practices by providing relief in other service departments as required.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning and catering tasks.
• Willingness to undertake training relevant to job role such as working in other departments.
• Adherence to NSW Health Code of Conduct and professional standards.

Responsibilities

The Hospital Assistant will provide a Resident focused service delivery, be responsible for performing a high standard of cleaning duties and ensuring the delivery of quality service to residents in the preparation, regeneration, delivery and presentation of meal.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in Cleaning and Catering services.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently, including a flexible approach to work practices by providing relief in other service departments as required.
• Physical capability to perform various cleaning and catering skills
• Willingness to undertake training relevant to job role such as working in other departments.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and other professional standards applicable to the position.
