CPS Australia is seeking a practical Service Technician in Adelaide to support service, repair, warranty assessment and technical backup for our CPS Oksys RRR range. This hands-on role blends diagnostics with product learning and customer-facing technical support, with opportunities to grow into a key technical support position.
The ideal candidate is a refrigeration/air‑conditioning or automotive technician with fault‑finding strengths, clear communication, and a customer-focused approach.
Enjoy fault‑finding, not just routine parts replacement? This is a hands‑on technical role with genuine variety.
CPS Australia is looking for a practical Service Technician to join our Adelaide team, supporting the service, repair, warranty assessment and technical backup of our CPS product range – with a key focus on our CPS Oksys RRR automotive air‑conditioning service machines. This role will suit a refrigeration mechanic, automotive A/C technician, diagnostic technician, electrical/mechanical service technician or experienced tradesperson who enjoys fault‑finding and solving real‑world technical problems.
This is not a standard workshop‑only role. It combines hands‑on service work, diagnostics, technical support and product learning across professional HVAC&R and automotive service equipment, with the opportunity to develop into a key technical support person for the CPS Oksys RRR range.
CPS Australia supplies a broad range of professional HVAC&R and automotive service equipment, including refrigerant recovery machines, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, manifolds, gauges, hoses, RRR machines and related workshop equipment. Our products are used by trade professionals, and our service backup is a critical part of the value we provide to customers, distributors and business partners.
Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with our experienced service technician and technical sales team to provide practical service and technical support across the CPS product range.
Your initial focus will be hands‑on service, repair, warranty assessment and product support. As your product knowledge grows, the role will develop into broader technical support across the CPS Oksys RRR range, working with internal teams, distributors, suppliers and selected customers.
You don’t need to know every CPS product on day one – we’re more interested in your diagnostic ability, attitude and willingness to learn.
This role offers a mix of hands‑on technical work and product support without the usual grind of constant field callouts. It may suit an experienced technician who still enjoys practical fault‑finding, or someone looking to move from traditional service work into a broader technical support role – including a semi‑retired technician who still wants meaningful technical work.
At CPS, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in solving problems properly. Good service isn’t just about fixing equipment – it’s about listening, explaining things clearly, following through and helping customers, distributors and workmates get the right outcome.
If you enjoy solving technical problems, learning new equipment and helping people get the right outcome, we’d like to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a brief cover note outlining your relevant technical experience.
Your application will include the following questions:
