Job summary

Katz Recruitment is partnering with a global OEM to recruit an experienced Service Technician for Canberra. You will service and commission critical cooling and UPS/power systems across commercial and data centre sites, including CRAC units, while maintaining safety and documentation.

Ideal candidates have Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, ARCtick refrigerant handling, and a minimum of 5 years in the industry.

Qualifications

• Certificate III – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is required.
• Licences and tickets listed are mandatory or desirable per the role.
• Experience with CRAC and critical cooling systems is essential.
• Ability to work on client sites across Canberra region.
• Strong customer service and safety mindset are important.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot critical cooling and UPS/Power systems on client sites.
• Commission computer room air-conditioning (CRAC) units at data centres.
• Represent the client professionally as a frontline technician in front of customers.
• Work independently or as part of a team, prioritising workload across sites.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with safety and WHS standards.

Katz Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a globally recognised OEM in critical cooling and UPS/Power solutions to find an experienced Service Technician to join their growing Canberra team.

About the Role You'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and commissioning of critical cooling and UPS/Power systems across commercial and data centre sites in Canberra.

Datacentre work is clean, ground-level maintenance on computer room air-conditioning (CRAC) units — no ceiling access required. Technicians are rotated between datacentre and general maintenance work to keep the role varied.

What You'll Be Doing

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot critical cooling and UPS/Power systems on client sites

What You Bring

• Certificate III – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

• Current driver's licence
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience
• Experience commissioning computer room air-conditioning (CRAC) units
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• White Card and Working at Heights ticket
• Contractor/Supervisor Licence — desirable, not essential
• Strong customer service, organisational and time management skills
• Computer literate — Microsoft Teams, Word and Outlook
