Job summary

Katz Recruitment is partnering with a global OEM to recruit an experienced Service Technician to support critical cooling and UPS/Power systems in Sydney sites. The role focuses on servicing, maintenance, and commissioning across commercial and data centre environments.

You will rotate between datacentre and general maintenance tasks, working from 8:00am to 4:30pm with a buddy system and ongoing training. A strong safety mindset and professional customer interactions are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration required.
• Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick) required.
• Current driver’s licence required.
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience.
• Experience commissioning CRAC units.
• Restricted Electrical Licence required.
• White Card and Working at Heights tickets; Contractor/Supervisor Licence desirable.
• Strong customer service, organisational and time management skills.
• Computer literate – MS Teams, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Commission computer room air-conditioning (CRAC) units.
• Represent our client professionally as a frontline technician in front of their customers.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and commissioning of critical cooling and UPS/Power systems across commercial and data centre sites in Sydney. Datacentre work is clean, ground-level maintenance on computer room air-conditioning (CRAC) units — no ceiling access required — and technicians are rotated between datacentre and general maintenance work to keep the role varied.
