Job summary

AHS Group in Braemar, NSW, is seeking a self-motivated Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic to join our team. This hands-on field service role will diagnose, repair, maintain and service a wide range of construction, agricultural and plant equipment.

You should hold a trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Plant Mechanic, have strong mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safe work practices. White Card and driver’s licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Plant Mechanic.
• Background with construction, agricultural or plant equipment.
• Diagnostics and fault finding; repairs and servicing.
• Engines, hydraulics and transmissions experience.
• Driver’s licence and white card required, strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain and service a wide range of equipment.
• Perform field service at customer sites and Braemar location.
• Ensure safe work practices and quality workmanship.

Job description

AHS Group is the NSW dealer for Kubota and Case Earthmoving Equipment, providing industry‑leading machinery solutions and customer support across the region.

We are currently seeking a self‑motivated, trade‑qualified Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic to join our growing team at our Braemar, NSW branch.

This is a hands‑on field service role where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and servicing a wide range of construction, agricultural and plant equipment.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Plant Mechanic
• Strong technical and mechanical knowledge
• Background working with construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or small to heavy plant
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
• Component rebuilds
• Engines, hydraulics and transmissions
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Familiarity with Kubota equipment or similar brands (highly regarded but not essential)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• White Card (OH&S)
• Strong commitment to safe work practices
• Customer‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills
