Job summary

Kenway & Clark in Gunnedah, NSW, is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic – qualified or a fourth-year apprentice. You will work on modern agricultural and construction machinery, with a varied mix of field and workshop duties and the support of a local team.

We offer competitive pay based on experience, a 38-hour week, a fully maintained service ute, tool allowance, training and support across our branch network.

Qualifications

• A qualified Diesel or Agricultural Mechanic with a Certificate III.
• A qualified mechanic from heavy vehicle, construction or mining industries seeking to move into agricultural machinery.
• A capable fourth-year apprentice ready to take on greater responsibility with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair agricultural and construction machinery
• Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults
• Complete pre-delivery inspections and machinery handovers
• Carry out workshop and field service work
• Support local growers and contractors during critical seasonal periods
• Work with the branch team to provide reliable, practical customer service

Kenway & Clark is looking for a qualified Diesel or Agricultural Mechanic - or a capable fourth-year apprentice - to join our Gunnedah Service team.

This is an opportunity to work on modern agricultural and construction machinery while supporting growers and contractors throughout the region. You’ll have varied work, access to manufacturer training and technical support, and the backing of our wider branch network.

About you

• A qualified Diesel or Agricultural Mechanic with a Certificate III;

• A qualified mechanic from the heavy vehicle, construction or mining industries interested in moving into agricultural machinery; or

• A capable fourth-year apprentice with strong practical skills who is ready to take on greater responsibility with appropriate support and supervision.

You take pride in diagnosing problems properly, producing quality work and looking after customers. You’re comfortable working as part of a team and can take ownership of your work in both the workshop and the field.

At Kenway & Clark, customer machinery is serviced and repaired by qualified technicians and appropriately supervised apprentices - no shortcuts.
