Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking a Service Technician/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Haymarket, NSW, to join a premium workshop team dedicated to heavy trailers and transport equipment maintenance. You will perform scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate is trade qualified with heavy vehicle or diesel mechanic experience, honest about faults, and committed to WHS standards and Australian work rights.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent.
• Experience on heavy vehicle trailers or transport equipment.
• Strong fault-finding around braking and suspension systems.
• Commitment to WHS standards and safe work practices.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on heavy vehicle trailers.
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Replace suspensions, braking systems, wheel-ends and trailer components.
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop.
