Job summary

Select Aust Sydney is seeking a Service Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our NSW aftermarket team. You will work in a stable workshop, focusing on high-quality servicing of heavy trailers and transport equipment, learning from experienced Leading Hands and Supervisors.

Key tasks include scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of braking and suspension systems, with documentation and safety as priorities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with relevant diesel/mechanical background.
• Industry experience in heavy vehicle, trailer, or transport equipment maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding abilities, especially braking and suspension systems.
• WHS standards and safe work practices at all times.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections on heavy vehicle trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Replace and repair suspensions, braking systems, wheel-ends, and structural trailer components.
• Complete job cards, inspection logs, and service documentation accurately.
