Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a qualified Chiller Service Technician to join our team in NSW. This hybrid role focuses on on-site emergency servicing, fault diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and commissioning of market-leading chiller units.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in chiller and heat pump systems, a current refrigerant handling license, and a valid driver’s license. Preference given to those with chiller experience and readiness to learn across the Daikin product range.

• Undertake planned overhauls and other service activities.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders; mentor apprentices where applicable.

About The Role

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, working on our Daikin Chiller units. We currently have an opportunity for a qualified Chiller Service Technician to join our established team in Warwick Farm, NSW.

This position involves working on a range of market leading chiller products and is responsible for on-the-spot, emergency servicing, repairs and fault diagnostics, carrying out routine preventive maintenance tasks, chiller commissioning, planned overhauls and more.

About You

If you are an experienced Chiller Service technician or an HVAC technician who has a strong central-plant background who is willing to get out of your comfort zone, and join and learn from an industry leader, then we want to hear from you!

The Person That We Are Looking For, Will Have:

• Strong technical competency with relevant working experience on Chiller and Heat pump systems.
• The ability to conduct fault analysis and complete repairs, sometimes within tight time constraints.
• A desire to be trained by an OEM across the full product range from Water-cooled and Air-cooled chillers as well as AHU’s & FCU’s.
• Controls experience and want to further enhance their ability across various control platforms, including Daikin IPM and Daikin BMS Systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with our customers and other stake holders.
• Solid teamwork and collaborative capabilities, alongside the ability to mentor apprentice technicians.
• The ability to work autonomously and be self-sufficient.

Other Requirements:

• Valid related Trade Certificate/Qualification
• Current Refrigerant Handling License
• Current driver’s license
• Chiller experience is preferred, however not essential in this hybrid style role
