Job summary

ACE Materials Handling Pty Ltd is seeking a Service Technician to support our Girraween (Sydney) team. The role involves performing inspections, servicing and repairs on a range of materials handling equipment, with a focus on quality and reliability.

The successful candidate will have White Card, a valid driver’s license, and strong diagnostic skills, with training provided for the right candidate to grow within the company.

ACE Materials Handling Pty Ltd is an Australian owned engineering and materials handling company which has been operating since 1991 with branches in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Cairns, Gladstone, and Townsville. We provide services to clients in all industries through inspection, service, maintenance & repair of their materials handling equipment and other assets.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Service Technician to provide excellent support to our Girraween (Sydney) based team in a full-time capacity. We are seeking a Service Technician from any of the following backgrounds; electrically qualified, mechanically qualified or experienced/competency-based Service Technician. We welcome candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds, including commercial, domestic and industrial environments as we will provide internal training for the right candidate looking to embark in our industry. Additionally, the roles we are hiring for offer flexibility for daily responsibilities to align with your background of experience and qualifications, due to the nature of our work scope and variety of equipment we work on for differing clients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for undertaking high-quality inspections, servicing, maintenance, repairs and breakdown assistance for our customers on a variety of materials handling equipment. Our clients range from industrial, civil, government, aviation, marina and defence, providing a diverse range of work to those who seek it, with the opportunity to primarily work in specific areas noted for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and attributes are essential;

• White Card (or ability to obtain)

• The ability to problem solve with strong diagnostic skills

It would be highly desirable if the successful candidate already obtained the following however, it is not a requirement for the role and if needed in future for the position, the below will be organised and funded for the successful candidate;

• First Aid
• LVR/CPR
• Restricted Electrical Licence/Electrical Licence
• Australian Citizenship for Defence and Aviation works
