Job summary

SKIDATA is seeking a Service Technician for Victoria (VIC). You will perform technical service, installation, and commissioning across sites in VIC, with 40% travel to client sites.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation in ServiceNow, and customer-focused support within a global brand under the ASSA ABLOY group. You will join a dynamic Field Service Operations team, work in a hybrid Office-Field arrangement in Melbourne, and engage in ongoing training to expand your skills in modern access

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a service, maintenance, or installation role.
• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Advanced Electronics (or working towards one).
• Strong computer literacy and programming skills.
• Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused mindset and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Technical Service & Maintenance: Deliver timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis on SKIDATA equipment and sites.
• Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission new access systems across VIC, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Administration: Accurately complete work orders, installation documentation, warranty forms, and parts management in ServiceNow.
• Customer Support: Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• OHS & Professionalism: Maintain high standards of safety, presentation, and equipment upkeep, while identifying and reporting hazards promptly.
