Job summary

JMP Engineering (Australia) in Thomastown VIC is seeking a highly motivated Service Technician to join our Installation and Service team. The role covers service, maintenance, and mechanical installation of JMP equipment, including palletising systems and conveyors.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial machinery, be safety‑conscious, and hold a current driver's license. Local Melbourne area residency is preferred and occasional travel interstate may be required.

Qualifications

• Employment history as a service technician or maintenance fitter on industrial machinery, conveyors, robots, stretch wrappers
• Self-motivated
• Can work in a team environment
• Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Be able to complete all safety inductions from online sources
• Professionally represent the company when on customer sites and liaise with on-site maintenance contacts
• Perform service/repair works to JMP equipment as required
• Assist with mechanical installations in Australia and overseas if required
• Travel locally and interstate when required; some installations may be 2-3 weeks away from home
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fork Lift license holder also beneficial
• Australian residency required
• Local Melbourne area preferred

JMP Engineering (Australia), a leading Robotic Palletising company based in Thomastown VIC, is looking for a highly motivated Service Technician to add to its expanding Installation and Service team. The role is varied as it is a combination of service, maintenance, and mechanical installation of new systems. Experience in working on palletizing systems, conveyors, stretch wrappers or similar machinery will be highly regarded. It is essential, that the applicant hold a current driver’s license.

• Assist with mechanical installations in Australia and overseas if required
• Co-operate with relevant Technical Development Project Leader in the direction of the installation of new project equipment
• Expected to travel away locally and interstate when required. Some installations may be 2 - 3 weeks away from home.
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fork Lift license holder also beneficial
