Job description

Mechanical Service Technician

Permanent, full‑time role based in Dandenong South, VIC supporting the maintenance and reliability of advanced automated logistics systems within a site‑based residential service environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mechanical maintenance on automated logistics systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults across conveyors, cranes, robotic systems, and AGVs.
• Collaborate closely with onsite automation specialists and operators to maximise system uptime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and onsite maintenance processes.
• Support daily operational activities, including system flow control and general operator tasks when required.
• Actively uphold and promote a strong safety‑first culture across all activities.

Qualifications

• Trade‑based qualification with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working with industrial automation and an understanding of industrial controls (PLC, VFD, HMI exposure advantageous).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights, and adaptable to a rotating shift environment.
• Motivated, reliable team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.
• Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship is required.
