Job summary

Wilbart in Victoria is seeking a senior Electrical/Mechanical Service Leader to support a diverse automation portfolio across fresh produce facilities. Based at Shepparton, you will lead the service team, install, commission, service and upgrade lines, and travel interstate to meet customer needs.

You must hold an A Grade Electrical licence, have PLC programming experience, strong fault-finding skills, and at least five years in electrical environments; Australian citizenship is required.

Job description

This successful, mature family owned business based in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria is a market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative packaging and palletising machinery to the fresh produce sector. The role will be based at their operations in Shepparton.

Role Objectives:

Apply broad expertise across Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to deliver outstanding support to the customer base.

A hands on approach to the installation, maintenance, commissioning, servicing and technical support to a diverse machinery portfolio including fully automated grading, packing and palletising lines.

Work independently and as part of a team (often travelling interstate) to meet customer needs across a range of facilities, from large automated operations to small family businesses.

Drive and lead the service team (3) to reach company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and plan services work, assemble, pre-delivery testing, and commissioning a diverse range of machinery and automation systems.

Provide on-going support and maintenance services to customers.

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical facilities efficiently.

Support new installations, commissioning of new lines, and upgrades of machinery onsite.

Maintain strong and open communication with customers and internal teams.

Note: plc program experience is essential with reference to reading, writing, downloading and manipulating.

Skills & Experience:

"A" Grade Electrical licence required.

Experience in Mechanical applications also useful.

Strong fault finding and diagnostic capabilities, ideally in produce packing environments would be preferred.

Practical hands on approach with strong technical aptitude.

Drivers and forklift licence required.

Minimum 5 years experience in electrical environment, preferably leading technical service teams.

Australian citizenship is required.
