Job summary

Steel-Line Garage Doors is seeking a Service Technician for a permanent, full-time role based in Cairns. You will work independently on the road, with a schedule coordinated by our admin team, performing maintenance, servicing and repairs on garage doors and openers.

Qualifications

• Technical, electrical, or trade experience is a plus.
• Current driver’s licence (Class C).
• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgement on priorities.
• Solid time management and communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and a range of power tools.
• Garage door industry experience helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance, servicing, and repair of garage doors and openers.
• Diagnose faults and replace motors and other components as needed.
• Deliver friendly, professional service and follow through on customer issues.
• Complete accurate daily paperwork and run sheets.
• Follow WH&S procedures and report hazards or incidents.
• Keep your uniform, company vehicle, and job sites clean and presentable.
• Take on other reasonable duties as required.
