ESS Garage Doors has been operating for over 49 years and is seeking a garage door technician to join our growing team. The role covers residential and industrial doors, including roller, panel lift, tilt, and roller shutters, with work typically 8am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Occasional earlier starts, or occasional Saturday work, and after-hours call outs at rates. You will work as part of a small team, servicing, repairing, installing doors and motors, and occasional gates.

Qualifications

• Full, unrestricted manual driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift doors over head; physically demanding work.
• Experience with basic power tools and hand tools.
• Excellent communication with customers on site and with office colleagues.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and be punctual.
• Forklift license and EWP license are desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work on residential and industrial garage doors (roller, panel lift, tilt) and roller shutters.
• Install, service and repair doors and motors; work on automatic gates when required.
• Interact with customers on site and coordinate with the office on job details.
• Be prepared for some travel and on-site visits; work with a small team.
• Possibly some Saturday work or after-hours call outs at applicable rates.

ESS Garage Doors has been operating for over 49 years and is looking for another tech to add to our growing team! We have never been busier, servicing all over Sydney and the Blue Mountains in both residential and industrial buildings.

We're looking for someone to work as a garage door technician for both residential and industrial doors. Roller doors, panel lift doors, tilt doors and roller shutters.

The successful applicant will be working as part of a small, close knit team from usually 8am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally there are earlier starts, later finishes, or some (very rare) Saturday work dependent on workload at the time, and after hours call outs are available (at after hours rates)

We do servicing and repair work, door and motor installations, and working on automatic gates as well.

You will need to have the following -

A full, unrestricted manual drivers license. You will be in a company vehicle so a responsible, respectful attitude on the road is a must.

Knowledge of how to use basic power tools and hand tools.

Good communication as you will be dealing directly with customers while on site, as well as communication internally with job details etc.

Trustworthy and honest - you are representing a company with a good reputation in the local community - customers do provide feedback to the office

There is some heavy lifting required - you MUST be able to lift doors over your head

Be willing to listen and learn, and take initiative

Good time management and problem solving skills

Forklift license / EWP license is desirable but a necessity.

We are looking for someone who's eager to learn, wants long term work and is punctual and efficient, and not afraid to climb ladders!

This can be a physically demanding job - so you can't be afraid of some hard work.

Once working on your own, a company ute and phone will be supplied.

Previous garage door experience is preferred and highly regarded

Technicians are on the road a lot, so you need to be able to drive responsibly and remember that you are representing the company while out and about. It is not unusual for people to call the office with feedback.
