Job summary

seek.com.au, a leading global manufacturer of heavy-duty laundry equipment, seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Trades Person to join as a Service Technician in Brisbane with home-based duties and travel to sites across Australia. You will report to the Service Manager, perform reactive and preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs on a range of machinery.

Interstate travel (25-50%) is expected; company vehicle or allowance and provided tools, laptop and phone

Qualifications

• Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Health & Safety compliance awareness and adherence to policies.
• Willingness to travel across Australia and occasional weekend/overtime work.

Responsibilities

Service Technician – (Industrial Laundry Equipment)

A leading global manufacturer of heavy-duty laundry equipment, offering a one stop shop for all processing requirements.

An opportunity has now become available for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Trades Person to join as a Service Technician. The position will be based in Brisbane, (home based) with travel required to job sites Australia wide.

The position:

In this challenging role you will report to the Service Manager. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Provide reactive and preventative maintenance including Service Agreements on a range of machinery.

Attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults and perform repairs.

Key requirements:

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights

Have well developed interpersonal skills and be a team player

Understand the importance of Health & Safety compliance on work site and adhere to the company's Health & Safety policies and practices

Experience in heavy industrial machinery is desirable

Must be able to work under pressure and deliver results

Must be prepared to work overtime and occasionally on weekends

Must be prepared to travel Australia wide occasionally

This position requires interstate travel approximately 25-50% of the time
