Job summary

Fuse Recruitment seeks a hands-on Service Technician in Mildura, Victoria, to service and repair automation, packaging, labelling and conveyor equipment across FMCG environments. You’ll travel to the Adelaide Hills and Riverland roughly fortnightly to monthly, typically staying 1–2 nights per trip.

Based in Mildura, you’ll join a team offering a clear career path, a $90K–$100K salary plus a company vehicle, tools and paid overtime.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification or engineering background required.
• Experience as Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Fitter, Electrician or similar.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, fruit packing or industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair automation, packaging, labelling and conveyor equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Attend customer sites across Mildura, the Adelaide Hills and Riverland.
• Participate in the rotating on-call roster and respond to breakdowns when required.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and continuous improvement.

Service Technician – Mildura, Victoria

Are you an experienced Service Technician looking for a role offering variety, autonomy and genuine career progression?

We’re seeking a hands‑on Service Technician to service and maintain a range of automation, packaging, labelling and conveyor equipment across FMCG, food and fruit‑packing environments.

Based in Mildura, you’ll work locally while travelling to the Adelaide Hills and Riverland approximately fortnightly to monthly, typically staying 1–2 nights per trip. We’re also open to Adelaide-based candidates who are comfortable travelling to Mildura and regional sites as required.

What we’re looking for

• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification or engineering background
• Experience as a Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Fitter, Electrician or similar
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, fruit packing or industrial automation
• Strong fault‑finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance skills
• Good communication, organisation and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel and stay away 1–2 nights at a time
• Willingness to participate in a rotating on‑call roster and work overtime when required
