Job summary

Bapcor Limited is seeking a Service Technician to deliver expert service, repairs and installations across our workshop equipment range, including wheel service and hoist systems. • Trade or technical qualification relevant to mechanical, electrical or automotive equipment.
• Experience servicing, repairing or installing mechanical or electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong safety awareness and disciplined work practices.
• Excellent customer service skills in field service.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, breakdown and installation work on wheel service and vehicle hoist equipment
• Diagnose faults and deliver effective repair solutions, and Diagnostics
• Complete work to manufacturer specifications, technical standards and company procedures
• Test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation following service or installation
• Manage on-site jobs efficiently, escalating issues or scope changes as required
• Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
• Deliver high-quality work within agreed timeframes, minimising rework and repeat visits
• Accurately record labour, parts usage and service activities in company systems
• Identify and manage hazards, applying appropriate risk controls at all times
• Maintain required licences, certifications, safety documentation and compliance records
• Contribute to continuous improvement and exceptional customer service outcomes

Qualifications

• Preventative Maintenance and Electrical fault‑finding
• Mechanical aptitude
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Field‑based technical experience in a customer‑facing environment
• Exposure to wheel service and/or hoist equipment desirable
• Strong safety awareness and disciplined work practices
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliable, self‑motivated and accountable
• Clear communicator with customers and team members
• Willingness to learn and develop technical capability
• Professional, respectful and solutions‑focused approach
