Job summary

Precision Automotive Equipment is a national leader in supplying, installing, and servicing world-class automotive workshop equipment. We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to deliver expert service, repairs, and installations across our equipment range.

In this hands-on role, you will work on wheel service and hoist systems, diagnose faults, document activity, and uphold safety standards while delivering excellent customer service on-site.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification relevant to mechanical, electrical or automotive equipment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Experience servicing, repairing or installing mechanical or electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Preventative maintenance and electrical fault‑finding.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Field‑based technical experience in a customer‑facing environment.
• Exposure to wheel service and/or hoist equipment desirable.
• Strong safety awareness and disciplined work practices.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and accountable.
• Clear communicator with customers and team members.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical capability.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, breakdown and installation work on wheel service and vehicle hoist equipment.
• Diagnose faults and deliver effective, compliant repair solutions, and Diagnostics
• Complete work to manufacturer specifications, technical standards and company procedures
• Test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation following service or installation
• Manage on‑site jobs efficiently, escalating issues or scope changes as required
• Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
• Deliver high‑quality work within agreed timeframes, minimising rework and repeat visits
• Accurately record labour, parts usage and service activities in company systems
• Identify and manage hazards, applying appropriate risk controls at all times
• Maintain required licences, certifications, safety documentation and compliance records
• Contribute to continuous improvement and exceptional customer service outcomes
