Qualifications

• A recognised Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Leading Hand, Workshop Supervisor or Service Supervisor role.
• Experience working with trucks, heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment or other heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience coordinating technicians, workshop schedules and field service activities.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
• A hands-on leadership style and the ability to motivate a technical team.
• A current unrestricted driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technician productivity, labour utilisation and job completion.
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and apprentices.

• Coordinate with parts, sales and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Support the Service Manager with daily operations and team performance.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy service department, ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently, technicians are supported and customer expectations are consistently met.

About You

We are looking for an experienced supervisor with a strong technical background in trucks, heavy vehicles, construction machinery or heavy equipment.
