Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a dedicated truck driver in Canberra to service customer sites with waste management equipment. You will start early (5–6 am) and may work overtime, with occasional overnight stays as required.

Training and uniforms are provided to support safe operations and high customer service standards. The role requires an MR licence, basic mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills to document work and coordinate with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum MR licence required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent customer service ethic and commitment to safety.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive company truck to customer sites to service parts washers, solvent sinks, turbo washers, and spray gun machines.
• Collect multiple waste streams in drums/bins of various sizes (20L, 60L, 205L, 660L).
• Complete service documentation using a mobile device.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and safety.
• Be able to start early and work overtime as required.

• $35 an hour + penalties for all overtime

The Opportunity:

• Driving company Truck to customer sites to provide a service where you will be required to maintain and clean parts washers, solvent sinks, turbo washers, and spray gun machines.
• Pick up of multiple waste streams in 20ltrDrums – 60ltrDrums– 205ltr drums and 660ltr bins.
• Completion of service documentation using a technological device such as mobile phone apps
• Ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction
• Ability to start early and work overtime as required

About You:

• Minimum MR licence required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work away 1-2 nights per fortnight (Accommodation and meals provided)
• Be fit and healthy and able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Excellent customer service ethic and commitment to safety
• Good verbal and written communication skills
