Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management is seeking a reliable driver to operate company trucks in Canberra, performing routine cleaning of waste equipment and collecting waste streams. The role includes early starts, potential overtime penalties, and full training with uniforms.

You will document services via mobile apps and provide excellent customer service daily. The position is permanent full-time in Canberra, with accommodation and meals provided for overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• MR licence required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to travel/stay away 1–2 nights per fortnight with accommodation provided.
• Must pass pre-employment medical examination.
• Strong customer service ethos and commitment to safety.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive company truck to client sites and perform cleaning of equipment (parts washers, solvent sinks, turbo washers, spray gun machines).
• Collect multiple waste streams in 20 L, 60 L, 205 L drums and 660 L bins.
• Complete service documentation using mobile apps or similar devices.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
• Start early and work overtime as required.

The Opportunity

• Driving company Truck to customer sites to provide a service where you will be required to maintain and clean parts washers, solvent sinks, turbo washers, and spray gun machines.
• Pick up of multiple waste streams in 20ltrDrums – 60ltrDrums– 205ltr drums and 660ltr bins.
• Completion of service documentation using a technological device such as mobile phone apps
• Ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction
• Ability to start early and work overtime as required

About You

• Minimum MR licence required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work away 1-2 nights per fortnight (Accommodation and meals provided)
• Be fit and healthy and able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Excellent customer service ethic and commitment to safety
• Good verbal and written communication skills
