Job summary

SEEK is looking for an operations leader who can take ownership of about 400 national service contracts, steadying underperforming areas and turning long-term customers into reliable partners.

You will clear the maintenance backlog, establish a four-week forward schedule, and book around 10 preventative maintenance services weekly, while grouping jobs by geography and capacity to reduce wasted travel and lift contractor margins.

Job description

You have a track record of getting busy service operations under control, growing service revenue, improving margins and turning customers into long-term clients.

You want a role where you can take ownership, fix things that aren’t working and be judged by the results you produce.

You’ll take ownership of around 400 national service contracts, and growing. At the moment, this area has been neglected as there hasn’t been anyone dedicated to managing it, so systems and processes haven’t been properly developed or maintained. Services have been missed, contracts have been neglected and opportunities have been lost.

You’ll get the contracts organised, clear the maintenance backlog and establish a reliable four-week forward schedule. Once under control, you’ll keep it moving by booking around 10 preventative maintenance services each week.

You’ll plan technician bookings ahead of time and group jobs by geography, availability and capacity. The result should be less wasted travel, better use of technician time and ultimately better contractor margins.

You’ll also find opportunities to renew and grow existing contracts, increase services and spare parts, and get more value from the customers we already have.

You’ll know you’re doing a great job when service revenue is growing, margins are improving, contracts are being renewed, existing accounts are growing and customers are coming to you and not our sales team for issues or support.

There is a lot to get under control, particularly in the first six months, and we need someone who enjoys walking into a problem and fixing it.
