Job summary

Brightwater Onslow Gardens in Subiaco, WA, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the site. This permanent full-time role oversees clinical care, financial performance, workforce leadership, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality, client-centred care.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, mentor staff, and ensure accreditation standards are met, while fostering a supportive, inclusive culture and a strong community presence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a service manager or senior operational team in aged care/health.
• Commitment to safe, high-quality, client-centred care.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and sector reforms.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, recruitment, and workforce planning.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Service Manager to join Brightwater on a permanent full-time basis to lead our Onslow Gardens site, located in the heart of Subiaco.

Brightwater Onslow Gardens provides high-quality care for individuals with diverse needs. The facility features 58 private rooms and 2 shared rooms, thoughtfully arranged across four individual houses, creating a homely and supportive environment.

This is a rare opportunity to take the lead of a well-established service and make a meaningful impact on the lives of older Australians. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational performance of the site, including clinical care, financial management, workforce leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in a Service Manager or Senior Operational Leadership role within aged care, health, or community services.
• A strong commitment to delivering of safe, high-quality, client-centred care.
• Sound knowledge of aged care accreditation requirements, Aged Care Quality Standards, and current sector reforms.
• Proven experience managing people, budgets, operational performance, recruitment, workforce planning, and employee development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety and employment legislation.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Health or Community Services.
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• A recent and satisfactory National Police Clearance.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• Current and valid drivers license.
