Qualifications

• Service Manager experience in the marine industry is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience as a marine technician with knowledge of Suzuki marine engines and systems.
• Certificate III in Marine or Automotive Mechanical Technology is required.
• Valid driver’s licence and the ability to work in a workshop.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with clear communication.

Job description

Platinum Suzuki Marine are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Manager or Marine Technician to join our team in Wangara, WA. In this full-time Service Manager role, you will primarily be responsible for leading and managing our busy service department, as well as carrying out complex marine engine servicing, repair work branching out to include parts & new engine sales.

Full Australian work rights and current residence are required for this position.

What you'll be doing:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the busy service department, including scheduling, task allocation, ensuring high-quality work, quoting & invoicing

Perform in-depth diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a range of Suzuki marine engines and related systems

Provide technical guidance and support to the service team, helping to train and develop their skills

Liaise with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and deliver exceptional service

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all service and repair work

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our service processes and procedures

What we're looking for:

Service Manager experience in the marine industry is highly desirable

Extensive experience as a marine technician, preferably with a strong understanding of Suzuki marine engines and systems

Relevant technical qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Marine or Automotive Mechanical Technology
