Job summary

One Fire Protection Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an experienced Service Manager to own the service and maintenance division. You will lead technicians and coordinators, ensure client compliance and uphold our quality reputation in a hands-on leadership role.

You will work closely with the directors, shape how the service department runs and grows, and drive the day-to-day delivery of routine servicing, defect rectification and minor works while maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection service management or senior coordination.
• Strong knowledge of wet fire (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels) and/or dry fire (detection, EWIS, emergency lighting).
• Familiar with AS 1851, NSW AFSS process and Building Code of Australia.
• Confident leader who can motivate a team, make decisions and handle difficult conversations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills, including scheduling, prioritising and managing deadlines.
• Experience with job management software (Uptick).
• Current NSW driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain or hold a White Card.

One Fire Protection is an established fire protection company with offices in Lane Cove and West Gosford. We design, install, service and maintain fire safety systems for commercial, strata and industrial clients across Sydney and Newcastle. Due to growth, we're looking for an experienced Service Manager to take ownership of our service and maintenance division. You'll lead our technicians and coordinators, keep our clients compliant and protect the quality our reputation is built on. This is a hands‑on leadership role. You'll work closely with the directors and have real input into how the service department runs and grows.

Key responsibilities

Leading, scheduling and supporting a team of fire technicians and service coordinators

Managing the day‑to‑day delivery of routine servicing, defect rectification and minor works

Making sure all work meets AS 1851 and relevant NSW regulatory requirements

About you

Working knowledge of AS 1851, the NSW AFSS process and the Building Code of Australia

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III/IV in Fire Protection, a trade background or Accredited Fire Safety Practitioner status) are highly regarded
