Job summary

TASK is seeking a Service Manager at Stanmore Public School to lead the before and after school care program, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment where children can thrive. This permanent role is 38 hours per week with split shifts and holiday programme coverage.

You will lead Educators, oversee operations, build strong community links, and ensure compliance with NQF standards while rostering and reporting. The Area Manager will provide coaching and support.

Qualifications

• Substantial leadership experience in a childcare setting, preferably OSHC.
• Ability to manage end-to-end service operations.
• Certificate III or higher in Children’s Services or related field.
• WWCC and mandatory training certificates including safety and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Educators at the school.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and programming for before/after school and vacation care.
• Build strong relationships with families, the school and the wider community.
• Ensure compliance with NQF standards and TASK policies.
• Manage rostering, records and reporting.

Job Description

This is a permanent, full-time Service Manager role offering 38 hours per week, consisting primarily of split shifts in the mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, plus hours during the holiday programme. You'll have a meaningful chance to lead with compassion, offering top-tier support to children and their families.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and supporting a team of dedicated Educators at your school


• Overseeing the day-to-day operations and programming of before and after school care and vacation care


• Building strong relationships with families, the school and the wider community


• Ensuring compliance with NQF standards and TASK policies


• Managing rostering, records and reporting


• Working closely with your Area Manager, supporting and assisting with administrative duties


• Creating a fun, inclusive, enriching and safe environment for children

You're an experienced leader who truly cares about making a difference. You have:

• Substantial leadership experience in a childcare setting, preferably OSHC


• Confidence in the end to end management of a service


• A Certificate III (or higher) in Children's Services, Education, or a related field is preferred


• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)


• Completion certificate for Foundations of Child Safety Training (GECCKO)


• First Aid (HLTAID012), CPR, and asthma and anaphylaxis training


• Current child protection training
