Job summary

Morgan Consulting in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Service Division Manager to lead and grow the service operation. You will develop, staff and manage the division, ensuring all facets of service delivery meet business goals and customer expectations.

The team currently includes service technicians, service coordinators and warehouse staff; you will coach, mentor and guide them, interpreting technical drawings to drive accurate and timely service outcomes.

About the company

Our client is an international company recognised as a specialist supplier of quality air compressors for industrial requirements or custom engineered solutions. With branches across Australia, it has built an industrial sales/distribution aftermarket business and supplies the OEM and mining sectors.

About the role

In this "hands on" dynamic, fast paced and challenging role, you will be responsible for developing, staffing and managing the Service Division making sure that all facets of managing a Service Division are adhered to completely and successfully. You will also be charged with building the service division as the business grows. The team currently consists of service technicians, service coordinators and warehouse staff.

Skills & experience

So that you yourself are able to make the transition smoothly, you will possess the following key attributes:

• Previous Service Management experience (ideally within the Compressor industry)
• The ability to coach, mentor and develop a service team and service coordinators
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and calculations
• Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
• Be a team player who is willing to go the extra mile
• Awillingness and desire to continue learning.
