Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare in Deception Bay is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to lead our 75-place OSHC service with a supportive team behind you. As the Nominated Supervisor, you will oversee Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care, mentor educators and build strong connections with families and the local parish and school, while ensuring compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) required.
• Experience leading or managing an education and care service is essential.
• Experience using childcare management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, mentor and support a team of educators to ensure quality care and continuous improvement.

At Deception Bay OSHC, we're creating a place where children feel connected, confident and excited to return each day. We're looking for a Coordinator who is passionate about leading people, building community connections and creating engaging experiences that make a difference.

You'll lead a welcoming 75-place service alongside a supportive Assistant Coordinator, with the guidance of an experienced Support Office team behind you. With strong relationships across the school, parish and local community, you'll have the freedom to bring new ideas to life and shape the future of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of our Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs, creating a safe, engaging and welcoming environment where children can thrive.
• Inspire, mentor and support a passionate team of educators, fostering a positive culture focused on quality care and continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver exciting play-based experiences that reflect children's interests, encourage curiosity, and promote learning, wellbeing and development.
• Build strong and meaningful relationships with children, families, the school and parish community, becoming a trusted and valued part of the local community.
• Champion quality and compliance, ensuring the service operates in line with legislative requirements while maintaining exceptional standards of care, safety and education.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) and willingness to be the Nominated Supervisor.
• Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), My Time, Our Place, and relevant childcare legislation.
• Previous experience leading or managing an education and care service.
• Completion of Child Safety Courses 1 & 2 (mandatory); Courses 3 & 4 highly regarded.
• Experience using childcare management systems.
• Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to support and mentor educators.
