Job summary

United Disability Care Pty is seeking a Service Leader to oversee a SIL service with a structured Monday-to-Friday roster. The role blends hands-on SIL support with dedicated leadership hours and a commitment to person-led care for participants.

The salary is competitive with SCHADS award and salary packaging options available. You will lead by example, ensuring quality, compliant support in line with NDIS requirements, while growing your leadership skills within the organisation.

What Does a Service Leader Do?

As a Service Leader, you'll play an important role in creating a positive, supportive environment for both participants and staff.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead with heart: Build meaningful relationships with participants, their families, and your team.
• Make a real difference: Ensure support is person-led, empowering participants to achieve their goals and live life their way.
• Support your team: Provide guidance, encouragement, and leadership to help Support Workers deliver their best.
• Be hands-on: Stay connected to the day-to-day operations of the SIL service and understand what quality support looks like in practice.
• Drive quality and compliance: Help maintain safe, consistent, high-quality support in line with UDC policies, procedures, and NDIS requirements.

Your Roster - Consistency Matters!

This is a structured role with a consistent Monday-to-Friday roster. The successful applicant must be available to work the following hours:

SIL Support Hours -6:00 am - 9:30 am

Service Leader Hours -9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Total hours:7.5 hours

Tuesday

SIL Support Hours -6:00 am - 9:30 am

Total hours:3.5 hours

Wednesday

SIL Support Hours -6:00 am - 9:30 am

Service Leader Hours -9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Total hours:7.5 hours

Thursday

SIL Support Hours -6:00 am - 9:30 am

Total hours:3.5 hours

Friday

SIL Support Hours -6:00 am - 9:30 am

Service Leader Hours:8 hours

Total hours:25.5 hours per week

This roster combines hands-on SIL support with dedicated Service Leader hours on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Availability across all five mornings is essential, including the early 6:00 am starts. You'll need to be comfortable working directly with participants during SIL hours and transitioning into your leadership responsibilities on the designated days.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in disability support, preferably within Supported Independent Living (SIL).
• A genuine passion for supporting people with disability to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to guide, motivate, and support a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and day-to-day service operations.
• An understanding of person-led support, safeguarding, and NDIS requirements.
• The confidence to lead by example while remaining approachable, respectful, and supportive.
• A reliable, consistent approach to attendance and availability across the required roster.
